Do India passport holders need a visa for Malaysia?

No visa to apply for. India passport holders enter Malaysia without one. Until 31 December 2026, Malaysia’s visa waiver lets Indian nationals stay up to 30 days, and the MDAC is still compulsory: submit it within 3 days before you arrive.

What does Malaysia ask of Indian visitors?

Malaysia’s High Commission in New Delhi lists the conditions for visa-free entry: a passport valid for at least six months, a confirmed return flight ticket, a confirmed hotel booking, and the MDAC submitted online before arrival.

The waiver covers business, tourism, social, and transit visits of up to 30 days.

How do I enter my name on the MDAC?

The official form has one Name box for your whole name, not separate boxes for surname and given names. It takes up to 60 characters, letters and spaces only, so hyphens, apostrophes, and periods can’t be typed. Paste is blocked too.
