Do Malaysia passport holders need a visa for Indonesia?

No visa to apply for. Malaysia passport holders enter Indonesia without one. The All Indonesia Arrival Card is a separate step. Indonesia asks every passenger arriving from abroad for one, and it carries the customs, health, and quarantine declarations too.

Crossing over land from Sarawak?

The form lists two crossings from Sarawak: ETKG - ENTIKONG CROSS-BORDER POST and NGBD - NANGA BADAU CROSS-BORDER POST. Choose LAND under Mode of Transport, then your vehicle, or PEDESTRIAN if you walk across so the form won’t ask for a vehicle number.

Official sources word the land side differently. Indonesia’s immigration office in Putussibau says All Indonesia applies at land border posts too, the Badau post included. The national announcement of 1 October 2025 names airports and seaports, and the 31 August 2025 announcement speaks of land borders where All Indonesia has been implemented. We quote them as published and don’t decide between them, and we could not confirm when All Indonesia went live at the Entikong post.

How long can I stay without a visa?

Malaysia is on Indonesia’s visa-exempt list. The stay is up to 30 days, and it can’t be extended or changed into another permit. There is no fee: the Directorate General of Immigration lists it at Rp0.
