Do Malaysia passport holders need a visa for Singapore?

Singapore’s land checkpoints are Woodlands Checkpoint, Tuas Checkpoint, and Woodlands Train Checkpoint. ICA’s exemptions don’t cover foreign visitors at any of them, and about Woodlands and Tuas, ICA says visitors “using the QR code or passport” are still required to submit the SG Arrival Card.

The QR code isn’t for every trip: ICA says first-time foreign visitors entering Singapore, and anyone re-entering on a different passport from their last visit, clear the checkpoint with their passport.

On the form, choose LAND, then BUS, CAR, LORRY, MOTORCYCLE, RAIL, or VAN, and enter the Vehicle Number. For Last City / Port of Embarkation Before Singapore, ICA’s list has MALAYSIA, JOHOR, JOHOR BAHRU.

On a bus or train with no vehicle number? ICA’s FAQ says to enter “TRAIN” or “BUS”; its enhanced form’s text says “BUS” or “RAIL”.

The form text of ICA’s enhanced version includes an “Identity Card Number (For Malaysians Only)” box, so have your identity card number ready if you file there.

Going back and forth between Johor and Singapore within those three days? ICA lets you list up to three trips in one individual submission. Back in Johor the same day, with nowhere to stay in Singapore? For accommodation, choose OTHERS, then DAY TRIP.

I work in Singapore on a Work Pass. Do I still submit it?

Not when you cross at Woodlands or Tuas: Work Pass and Dependant’s Pass holders count as residents, and residents crossing there are exempt. Flying or sailing in, you submit the health declaration only.
